Air Strike in Northern Iraq – Breaking News
Turkish Armed Forces conducted air operations in northern Iraq in response to terrorist attacks against the public and security forces. The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) announced that the operations were carried out to eliminate PKK/KCK and other terrorist elements, as well as to ensure border security.
According to the statement released by the Ministry, the air operation took place on October 24 at 23:30 and targeted 34 terrorist-related sites including caves, bunkers, shelters, warehouses, and facilities used by the terrorist organization. The goal was to neutralize terrorists at a responsible level and prevent further attacks on civilians and security forces.
The operation resulted in the destruction of these targets and the neutralization of many terrorists using domestically produced ammunition. The Turkish Armed Forces reaffirmed their commitment to fighting terrorism and protecting the country and its citizens from threats.
It was emphasized that all necessary precautions were taken to avoid harming innocent civilians, friendly elements, historical and cultural sites, and the environment during the operations.
