Alexander Lukashenko’s Inauguration Date Announced in the East
The re-elected President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, is set to be inaugurated on March 25, 2025, as announced by the Central Election Commission (CEC) of the country. According to the Belarusian Constitution, the president must take the oath of office in a solemn ceremony in the presence of key government officials, including members of the Presidium of the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly, deputies of the House of Representatives, and judges of the Constitutional and Supreme Courts.
This upcoming inauguration will mark Lukashenko’s seventh term as president. In the recent elections held on January 26th, Lukashenko secured a landslide victory with 86.82% of the vote, amounting to over 5 million votes. Sergey Syrankov and Oleg Gaidukevich took second and third place, respectively.
