Journalist Züleyha Karaman has recently published her fourth book, titled “Feelings Remaining on the Dusty Shelves of History, Annexation”, in Turkey. The 272-page book, published by Berikan Publishing House in Ankara, is divided into three chapters.

The first chapter, “From where to where in Cyprus…”, covers developments from 1571 to 2023, including various historical events and current issues such as the Turkish Cypriots’ sacrifice during the construction of the Ataturk Monument in Ankara Ulus, the opposition of the Greek church to Jewish immigrants in Cyprus, and the murder of the US Ambassador by Greek Cypriots.

The second part, “Karaoğlan is in Cyprus”, focuses on Bülent Ecevit’s historic visit to Cyprus six months after the Cyprus Peace Operation and his vision for the Turkish Cypriots.

The third section includes the decision of the Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Turkish Cypriot Administration to connect to Turkey, as well as the discussions of the MPs on the connection of Cyprus to Turkey.

In the introduction of the book, journalist and author Mesut Günsev praises Karaman for her ability to bring forgotten days to life and make a lasting impact on history. The book is currently available for purchase online in Turkey, particularly on “kitapyurdu.com”, and will soon be available in bookstores in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

Züleyha Karaman has previously published books such as “We Witnessed History”, which describes the Anna Plan process, and “Last Words of a Leader”, featuring the hospital process and last words of TRNC Founding President Rauf Denktaş, and “The Leader Justified by History”, which delves into Denktaş’s struggle for sovereignty.
