Antalya State Opera and Ballet (DOB) has announced that the iconic “Nutcracker” ballet will be performed for the last time this season at the Haşim İşcan Cultural Center. This ballet, which is strongly associated with New Year celebrations and has been performed by renowned ballet companies around the world, will offer its final showcases in Antalya.

The libretto and choreography of the production belong to Armağan Davran and Volkan Ersoy. The Antalya DOB orchestra will be conducted by Hakan Kalkan, with Koray Önel as the principal violinist. The decor design is by Gürcan Kubilay, costume design by Aydan Çınar, and lighting design by Mustafa Eski.

The “Nutcracker” tells the enchanting tale of a baby named “Nutcracker” who transforms into a prince, given to Clara as a New Year’s gift at the Stahlbaum family’s house, and the subsequent events that unfold. The cast includes Yağızhan Danış as “Nutcracker,” Chisato Ishikawa as “Clara,” and Milina Fidan Özbek as “Sugar Fairy.” Additionally, “Drosselmeyer” will be played by Evren İskender, and “King Mouse” by Burak Burçak.
