“Young Energy Video Content Competition” organized by the Deputy Prime Minister, Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment, Youth Department, starts tomorrow.
Organized to encourage young people to use new media tools correctly and efficiently, the competition aims to enable young people to express their feelings and thoughts, take responsibility for social issues, develop their creative thinking skills and increase their visibility in the public arena.
The theme of the competition has been determined as “What Makes Me Who I Am” and young people will participate in the competition with their videos containing social, cultural and sports activities. Awards will be given to the winners among the videos evaluated by the jury.
Regarding the competition, a press conference was held at the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu stated that the Ministry of Youth Department organizes activities and camps to make young people productive.
Expressing that the Young Energy Video Content Competition, which will take place on social media platforms, will support young people to reveal their productions, Ataoğlu said, “Young people are valuable to us.”
Ataoğlu also said that the competition, supported by the Youth Department, BRTK and BSEC Office, was prepared in line with the value and importance given to young people.
Youth Department Director Hakan Özsaygın noted that the “Young Energy Video Content Contest” will be held on the social media platform.
Pointing out that social media has an important place in the lives of young people, Özsaygın said that the aim of the competition is to make visible and support what young people do in sports, art, culture and all other fields in the public sphere.
Stating that the conditions of participation and all the details will be available on the “gençenerjiburada” Instagram page from tomorrow, Özsaygın said that the award sponsor of the competition is the Republic of Turkey Development and Economic Cooperation Office Coordinatorship, and the publication sponsor is BRTK.
BRTK Director Meryem Özkurt said that they are proud to support the competition within the framework of the 60th anniversary of the Institution.
Özkurt stated that young people and their products are important for society. Stating that BRTK will be the broadcast sponsor of the competition, Özkurt stated that they will make the competition visible and help with the announcements within this framework.
Development and Economic Cooperation Office Coordinator Ömer Cihan said, “We are honored to support projects that will contribute to the eternal existence of the TRNC.”
Stating that they contribute to projects in the TRNC, including infrastructure and the real sector, Cihan said that the only assets that will carry the TRNC into the future are children and youth.
