The program titled “A Project Overcoming Barriers and Walls: Give Life”, organized in cooperation with Hacı Bayram Veli University Disability Studies Application and Research Center and the General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Houses of the Ministry of Justice, was held at Ankara Probation Directorate.

The program, which started with the screening of the promotional film of the project “A Project Overcoming Barriers and Walls: Give Life” and the promotional presentation of the Ankara Probation Directorate, continued with the opening of the work called “Tree of Life”, prepared in cooperation with the disabled students of the university and those under probation. .

The work called “Tree of Life”, which is the output of the project and prepared with the contributions of disabled individuals and those under probation; By drawing attention to social solidarity, it aims to raise awareness that obstacles can be overcome with cooperation and solidarity and that we can be stronger together.

The project is led by Turkish Cypriot Academician, Hacı Bayram Veli University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting, Prof. Dr. Bülent Salderay did it.

Salderay said, “It was an eight-month study conducted with different groups at different times. In this project, we provided applications for individuals to gain skills while working on their socialization. The resulting works were brought together based on the tree of life concept determined by a team of experts and mounted on the wall. The project has many legs. “Support was provided both academically, on a student and institutional basis,” he said.
