The Republican Turkish Party’s Girne district Alsancak Ocak organization held an action to draw attention to the danger to traffic safety of the Alsancak-Lapta double-lane road.

Kazım Sakinoğlu, President of the Republican Turkish Party Alsancak Ocak Organization, stated that despite all the warnings made during the process, the Alsancak Lapta double-lane main road was put into service with deficiencies and said that the road poses a danger to both drivers and pedestrians due to incomplete infrastructure and pavements.

Pointing out that there is a short time left for the opening of schools, Sakinoglu noted that any accident and negativity that will occur on the road, which will increase in density, will be the responsibility of the government, especially the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.

Lapta – Alsancak Çamlıbel Mayor Fırat Ataser stated that they will support everyone who draws attention to regional problems, regardless of their party.

Ataser said that they heard that the 3rd stage of the Alsancak-Lapta double-lane road will start, and that a new stage should not start before the 1st and 2nd stages are completed.

Noting that the completion of the unfinished infrastructure and traffic safety of the double-lane road and the transition to the new stage is the demand of all the people of the region, Ataser said that if a new stage is started before the works are completed, they will take action as the people of the region.
