Beyarmudu Municipality Folk Dance Group Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Festival
The Beyarmudu Municipality Folk Dance Ensemble recently celebrated its 10th anniversary with a grand festival. The festival, held over two nights, featured performances by the Istanbul Ataköy Folk Dances team, Beyarmudu Municipality Folk Dances Group, and Rhythm of Dance team.
Attendees of the festival included local residents, as well as distinguished guests such as the President of the Turkish Cypriot Folk Dances Federation and the President of the International Festivals Union TRNC Özlem Kadirağa, municipal council members, regional headmen, and other officials.
Beyarmudu Mayor Bülent Bebek emphasized the importance of folk dances as a vital part of culture and highlighted the municipality’s commitment to promoting social and cultural activities. He stressed the significance of preserving Turkish Cypriot culture and passing it on to future generations.
Mayor Bebek also mentioned ongoing projects aimed at the region’s development. Following his address, the folk dance teams took the stage to showcase their performances, delighting the audience with their talents.
