Bishkek to Host Festive Events for Nooruz Celebration
Bishkek – 16:54, 19 March 2025 – The City Hall of Bishkek has announced that festive events dedicated to Nooruz will be taking place on March 21 at the square named after Turdakun Usubaliev (Old Square) from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The press service of the City Hall shared this exciting news.
The day will kick off with a theatrical prologue titled “Kel, kuttuu Nooruzum,” featuring colorful dance performances and folklore elements symbolizing the awakening of nature and the transition from winter to spring. Throughout the day, the square will come alive with exhibitions of applied art, national sports games, and a festive concert with performances by national pop stars. Visitors will also have the chance to immerse themselves in Kyrgyz traditions by visiting the yurts of “Ordo (Kyrgyz Aiyly).”
