Famous Turkish Chef Burak Ozdemir Participates in Charity Project in Bishkek
Renowned Turkish chef and restaurateur, Burak Ozdemir, has arrived in Bishkek to take part in the social charity project called “Ramazan Tent” which is held annually in Kyrgyzstan.
The “Ramazan Tent” project, organized by the Al-Umma Foundation, aims to provide iftar meals to needy families and orphans during the holy month of Ramadan. Eliana-Maryam Satarova, the head of the foundation, expressed the importance of supporting those in need, especially during Ramadan when some individuals cannot afford to go out to restaurants.
Burak Ozdemir, on his first visit to Kyrgyzstan, emphasized the strong bond between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan, referring to the countries as brotherly nations where he feels at home. Despite not having a charitable foundation, Ozdemir personally funds his charitable initiatives and has been actively involved in social projects since a young age, extending his support to various countries around the world.
The “Ramazan Tent” project kicked off on March 18 in a Bishkek restaurant, where a charitable iftar was organized for vulnerable individuals. Burak Ozdemir personally cooked and served meat to the guests, showcasing his culinary skills and generosity.
Burak Ozdemir, known for his extraordinary dishes and captivating smile, is a well-known figure in the culinary world. Starting his first restaurant at the age of 16, Ozdemir’s business rapidly grew, leading to the establishment of multiple branches in Istanbul and other countries. His restaurants are distinguished by large portion sizes, with signature dishes like two-meter long kebabs and oversized hamburgers. Over the years, Ozdemir’s restaurants have attracted a diverse range of customers, including world-famous personalities such as Turkish President Recep Erdogan, singer Iggy Azalea, and athletes like Cristiano Ronaldo and Khabib Nurmagomedov.
