Culture Department Director Şirin Zaimağaoğlu Visits Artists in Their Workshops
Şirin Zaimağaoğlu, Director of the Culture Department under the Deputy Prime Ministry, Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment, recently paid visits to several artists in their workshops. During these visits, she had the opportunity to observe the artists’ working environments and explore their latest creations.
The Culture Department revealed that Zaimağaoğlu visited artists Emel Samioğlu, Osman Keten, Salih Mustafa Çizel, and Nilgün Güney as part of the workshop visits initiated by the department. Zaimağaoğlu expressed her intention to continue these workshop visits, where she gained insights into the artists’ upcoming projects and discussed potential collaborations with the Department of Culture.
One of the highlights of Zaimağaoğlu’s visits was the announcement that the personal painting exhibition titled “Bohça,” previously hosted by Nilgün Güney in Nicosia, will be relocated to the Kyrenia Public Library in June under the auspices of the Culture Department. Additionally, an exhibition booklet featuring designs by Nilgün Güney, supported by the Culture Department, will be printed, with proceeds from its sales going towards the Nicosia Women’s Shelter.
