Declining Prices in the Used Car Market
The analysis of the secondary car market prices for November has revealed some interesting trends. According to specialists from the Institute for Macroeconomic and Regional Studies (IMRS), the prices of locally popular cars like Onix, Lacetti, Nexia, Spark, Damas, and Labo have decreased. On the other hand, the prices of moderately-used Malibu cars have increased, while the prices of Tracker cars remained the same.
In terms of local popular cars, the average prices in November compared to October showed a decrease across the board. For example, Onix experienced a 4.8% decrease for moderately used cars and a 5.4% decrease for low used cars. Similarly, Lacetti, Nexia, Spark, Labo, and Damas also saw price decreases in their respective categories.
Local luxury cars, however, saw some price fluctuations. The prices of low- and moderately-used Malibu cars increased, while the heavily used Equinox saw a decrease in price. The prices of Tracker cars, on the other hand, remained unchanged.
Electric cars also experienced price changes in November. Moderately used BYD Han and BYD Yuan Up saw decreases in prices, while the new BYD E2 experienced an increase in price. The BYD Song Plus EV Champion, however, remained relatively stable in price.
Imported luxury cars, like Hyundai Elantra and Kia Sportage, saw price decreases across different categories. The prices of heavily used Kia K5 and Kia Sportage cars also decreased, while Hyundai Tucson and Hyundai Santa Fe prices remained relatively stable.
The analysis categorized cars based on distance traveled and year of manufacture, providing a more detailed view of the market trends. The data was collected through web scraping from the olx.uz platform and analyzed for comparison between October and November.
Overall, the secondary car market in November showed a mix of price decreases and increases across different car categories, reflecting the dynamic nature of the automotive industry.
