A recent meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and the Secretary General of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), Dimitri Kerkentzes, highlighted the continued efforts to strengthen partnership relations in the field of exhibition and fair activities.

The upcoming Administration and Budget Committee meeting of the BIE on March 19 in Ashgabat was also discussed as a platform to enhance Turkmenistan’s role in the international exhibition community.

Turkmenistan’s active participation in global and specialized exhibitions was emphasized, underscoring the significance of the “Concept for the Development of International Exhibition Activities of Turkmenistan for 2024–2025.” The implementation of the “Roadmap for Expanding Cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Bureau International des Expositions for 2023–2025” was also reviewed.

The meeting identified promising areas of cooperation, including organizing seminars on various disciplines in exhibition activities, coordinating Turkmenistan’s pavilions at international exhibitions, and facilitating mutual visits at different levels. Of particular focus was Turkmenistan’s participation in the World EXPO 2025 in Osaka, Japan.

Both parties expressed confidence that collaborative efforts would further enhance international cooperation and integrate Turkmenistan into the global exhibition space. The discussions underscored the commitment to fostering a strong partnership between Turkmenistan and the International Exhibitions Bureau for the mutual benefit of both parties.
