DMM Denies Claim Regarding ‘Kürecik Radar Base’

Denial from DMM to Kürecik Radar Base claim

The Defense Ministry of Turkey (DMM) has refuted claims about the Kürecik radar base being involved in detecting and stopping missiles launched by Iran against Israel on April 15. In a statement on social media, DMM clarified that the claim is false and unfounded.

Following a meeting between President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Hamas Political Bureau Chairman İsmail Haniye, it was confirmed that the allegations about the Kürecik radar base were deliberately spread to create confusion. The DMM reiterated that information about the radar base is only shared with NATO allies as part of standard procedures to ensure the safety of allied countries.

Turkey has always shown solidarity with the Palestinian cause and continues to do so. The statement from DMM warned against falling for manipulation campaigns that aim to exploit public sensitivities.

In a separate development, DMM also emphasized that supporting LGBTQI individuals is not part of the mission of the Counterterrorism and Fight Against Terrorist Financing Center (CPF). The organization remains focused on its core objectives and does not engage in activities unrelated to its mandate.
