Establishment of Central Asian Journalism Prize Orient Proposed at II Central Asian Media Forum in Astana

The II Central Asian Media Forum in Astana has set the stage for the proposal of establishing a Central Asian Journalism Prize. This initiative, as reported by "KAZINFORM", aims to recognize and encourage the best journalists in the region in order to enhance the quality of media and foster cooperation among Central Asian countries.

The Minister of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan, Aida Balayeva, highlighted the significance of such projects in facilitating the exchange of experience and professional growth for media professionals. The Journalism Prize is expected to acknowledge the achievements of journalists and content creators, while also motivating the development of the media industry in Central Asia.

During the forum, various other initiatives were discussed, including the establishment of a Journalism Academy, the launch of the "Our People" television project showcasing notable individuals from Central Asian society, and the organization of a teleconference for "Nauryz", a shared cultural holiday in the region.

The II Central Asian Media Forum is scheduled to run until April 17th, providing a platform for further discussions and collaborations in the field of journalism and media.
