Excitement in İskele on August 30th – BRTK News Event
The 102nd Anniversary of August 30 Victory Day was commemorated with a ceremony held in İskele, along with various other regions across the country.
The celebrations in İskele took place at İskele Ecevit Square, where a ceremony began with the laying of wreaths at the Ataturk Monument. This was followed by a moment of silence and the raising of flags, accompanied by the national anthem.
During the event, Air Defense Lieutenant Tuğay Avcı delivered a speech highlighting the significance of the day and the enduring principles of Atatürk, emphasizing the values of national sovereignty, consciousness, and independence. He also emphasized the historic victory that was achieved on August 30, 101 years ago.
The ceremony also featured a performance by the İskele Municipality Yıldızlar Folk Dance Group and readings of poems by local school students. The event culminated with a ceremonial parade, bringing the celebrations to a close.
