Children’s Fairy Tales with Music Featured at “Mediterranean Breeze Thursday Talks” Event

The Culture Department of the Deputy Prime Minister, Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment organized the “Mediterranean Breeze Thursday Talks” event, where children’s fairy tales accompanied by music were showcased.

The event took place at the Atatürk Cultural Center National Library at 10:00 am. Turkish Cypriot folk tales were read aloud, bringing joy to the audience. The readings were complemented by a concert performed by Nurperi Özgener from the Culture Department, musician Tuncay Langal, and musician Nejla Egemen.

Due to popular demand, the event was restaged at 11:00 am for the students of the Yaprakm Special Education School.

In addition to the “Mediterranean Breeze Thursday Talks,” the Culture Department also organized the “My Friend is the Book” event. From 08:00 am to 5:30 pm, registered and new members of the National Library and public libraries in Girne, Güzelyurt, Famagusta, İskele, Akdoğan, Mehmetçik, Değirmenlik, and Yeni Erenköy can access books. These libraries will provide books to primary and secondary school children who have registered for the event.

The aim of both events is to encourage a love for literature, culture, and music among children. By combining storytelling and music, the organizers hope to ignite the imagination of young minds and foster a lifelong passion for the arts.

Don’t miss out on these incredible events that aim to create memorable experiences for children in the Turkish Cypriot community.
