Famagusta Municipality to Celebrate New Year with Christmas Bazaar and Events
Famagusta Municipality is gearing up for the new year with a festive Christmas Bazaar on 23-24 December and a series of events and entertainment on Sunday, 31 December.
The Christmas Bazaar, set to take place in Namık Kemal Square on December 23-24, will feature colorful stands representing different cultures and playgrounds for children. In addition to the bazaar, there will also be workshop activities for children, all free of charge.
The workshops, designed for children ages 6-12, will be held at the Bandabuliya and will provide an opportunity for children to engage in creative and educational activities. On December 31, the New Year’s program will kick off with a variety of activities for children from 11:00-16:00, followed by DJ performances and a fire show starting from 16:00. Throughout the day, there will be other events including New Year Tree Making with Prints, a “Wish Box” for people to share their wishes for the world, a New Year-themed painting table, cinema screenings, face painting, shaped balloons, and children’s games.
The culminating event of the evening will be at 22:45 when Fikri Karayel takes the stage to welcome the new year with a celebratory performance.
