Israeli Attacks in Gaza: Ayalon’s Controversial Statements
In a recent statement to ABC News Australia, former Israeli Deputy Defense Minister Danny Ayalon made controversial remarks about Israel’s attacks in Gaza. When asked about the impact of Israeli attacks on Palestinians, Ayalon acknowledged the struggles faced by those living under occupation. He admitted, “The life of people who dream of freedom but cannot see it. Whether we like it or not, we control the lives of millions.”
Ayalon went on to address the perspective of Palestinians living in Gaza and the West Bank towards Israel. When questioned about what he would do in their shoes, Ayalon candidly stated, “I would fight against Israel to gain my freedom. I would do anything to achieve my freedom.”

In response to questions about civilian casualties, particularly children, Ayalon expressed regret, stating, “We do not need this.” He blamed the presence of Hamas militants among civilians as a complicating factor in the conflict.
