
Four Billion Soms Allocated for Low-Interest Loans to Kyrgyz Farmers

The Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan has recently approved the project Financing of Agriculture – 13 for the year 2025. This project aims to provide loans to farmers at a low interest rate of 10 percent, with a total allocation of at least 4,092,769,440 soms.
According to the press service of the ministry, the project has different implementation periods based on the sector. For those involved in livestock breeding, crop production, and water-saving irrigation technologies, the project will run for 36 months. However, for those engaged in the leasing of agricultural machinery, the project duration is extended to 84 months.
It is important to note that the loans will be provided through Aiyl Bank and Eldik Bank, with unsecured loans available up to 300,000 soms and collateralized loans up to 1 million soms.
The funds allocated for the project are divided as follows:
– Livestock breeding – 1,227,800 billion soms
– Crop production – 818.6 million soms
– Water-saving irrigation technologies – 409.2 million soms
– Leasing of agricultural machinery – 1,637.1 billion soms
This project is expected to support farmers in Kyrgyzstan and contribute to the development of the agricultural sector in the country.
