Hasan Erkek’s New Book Explores the Art of Game Making
Arkın Creative Arts and Design University (ARUCAD) Acting Department lecturer, Prof. Dr. Hasan Erkek, has recently published a new book titled “The Game Makers Art”. The book, which was published by ARUCAD Publications, explores the lives and works of nine influential scientists and artists who have played a significant role in Turkish theater.
According to a statement from ARUCAD, “The Game Makers Art” is the third publication from ARUCAD and marks the latest contribution from Prof. Dr. Hasan Erkek. The book delves into the artistic and scientific contributions of individuals such as Prof. Dr. Metin And, Prof. Dr. Sevda Sener, Prof. Dr. Ozdemir Nutku, Prof. Dr. Cevat Capan, Genco Erkal, Prof. Dr. Aysegul Yuksel, and Prof. Dr. Nurhan Karadağ. Through his own memories and experiences, Hasan Erkek sheds light on the history of theater and provides insights into the unique contributions made by these individuals.

Prof. Dr. Hasan Erkek is a highly accomplished individual with an impressive career. He began his journey by winning the TRT Radio Theater Grand Prize for his radio play “Bedel” while he was still a third-year university student. To date, he has produced a total of 43 dramatic works, including stage plays for both adults and youth, children’s plays, film scripts, and radio plays. He has also authored 30 artistic and scientific books, published in 15 countries.
Prof. Dr. Hasan Erkek’s contributions extend beyond his creative endeavors. He has presented papers at numerous festivals and symposiums across more than 30 countries and has served as a jury member at national and international festivals. He has been recognized with over 20 national and international awards for his outstanding works. In addition, he has served in various leadership positions, including the Head of Performing Arts Department at Anadolu University State Conservatory, Chairman of the Board of OYÇED-Playwrights and Translators, and Dean of ARUCAD Faculty of Music and Performing Arts. Currently, Prof. Dr. Hasan Erkek is a faculty member at ARUCAD Acting Department.
