Health Minister Koca Unveils New Strategies to Address MHRS Issues – Latest Turkey News

Minister of Health Announces New Order for Hospital Appointments

Minister of Health, Fahrettin Koca, has announced a new order regarding hospital appointments made through the Central Physician Appointment System (MHRS). Addressing the issues in MHRS, Minister Koca stated that they have found a solution to the appointment problem that will benefit both citizens and physicians.

One of the key changes introduced is the utilization of unused capacity resulting from appointments that are not cancelled. Minister Koca emphasized that citizens who do not cancel their appointments and do not show up will face consequences. In the first instance, they will not be able to make an appointment in the same branch for 15 days. If they miss the appointment a second time, they will be barred from making appointments in all branches for 15 days.

Furthermore, the appointment cancellation period has been limited to 23.59 the day before the scheduled appointment to prevent idle capacity due to last-minute cancellations. Minister Koca highlighted that new appointments can now be made up to 1 hour before the examination time instead of filling the slot left by cancellations. This change aims to accommodate more patients and ensure the efficient use of capacity.

This new order aims to enhance the appointment system by encouraging responsible behavior from citizens and maximizing the utilization of healthcare resources. Citizens are advised to comply with the new regulations to avoid any restrictions on booking appointments. Stay updated with NTV on social media for more news and updates.
