Truck Causes Chaos in Kağıthane: Flees Scene After Damaging 6 Vehicles
In a shocking incident in Kağıthane, a truck careened through the streets and crashed into parked vehicles, causing damage to 6 cars and the awning of a grocery store. The driver of the truck then fled the scene, leaving chaos and destruction in the aftermath. The entire event was captured by a security camera, allowing investigators to gain a detailed insight into the incident, which occurred at around 8:00 am on Yahya Kemal District Timur Street.
Witnesses described the driver’s reckless behavior as resembling that of an “executioner,” stating that the truck hit parked vehicles and the store’s awning before speeding away without stopping. They managed to take down the license plate number of the truck and are planning to file a criminal complaint against the driver.
Several vehicles sustained damage from the collision, with broken windows and rearview mirrors being among the reported losses. Some vehicles were even left with scratches due to friction from the truck. According to Selahattin Yılmaz, one of the owners of the damaged vehicles, they suffered a collective damage of at least 100,000 liras.
Security camera footage captured the moment of impact, depicting the shocking scenes as the truck plowed through the parked vehicles, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. Investigators are using this footage to help track down the driver and hold them accountable for the damages caused.
The incident, which created a great deal of disturbance and destruction in the area, has left the affected car owners frustrated and bewildered. They are now seeking justice and restitution for the losses incurred as a result of the truck driver’s irresponsible actions.
