New Cabinet Members Announced by President Erdoğan with a Focus on Education Success
The Turkish election has concluded, and President Erdoğan has revealed the new cabinet members. The new government is dominated by technocrats, and many of the ministers have achieved notable success in their education.
Cevdet Yılmaz has been appointed as the Vice President of the new cabinet. Yılmaz’s outstanding achievement includes graduating from the Department of Public Administration at METU, where he attained first place in his class. The Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Şimşek, graduated from Ankara University’s Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Economics, ranking second in his term. Another successful name is Mehmet Fatih Kacır, the Industry and Technology Minister, who achieved twelfth place in Turkey in the university entrance exams in 2003.
Furthermore, the cabinet members have a high proficiency in foreign languages. Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, and Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek are among those who speak English at a good level.
Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş is fluent in French, English, and Dutch, whereas Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan has a strong command of English and is proficient in French and Arabic. Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy possesses excellent German and English language skills, while Minister of Commerce Ömer Bolat is highly proficient in English and has a good level of German.
Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır speaks English and German fluently, and Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak is proficient in three languages. Sports Minister Osman Aşkın Bak speaks fluent English and intermediate German and Persian.
The newly appointed cabinet members highlight a focus on education success and language proficiency, which are expected to contribute positively to their respective ministries.
