Israel Strikes Hamas Leader Saleh Al Aruri – Last Minute World Update

Israeli Attack on Hamas Office in Lebanon Results in Deaths and Tensions Rise
Israel has carried out an attack on the Hamas office in the Mashrafiyah district of Beirut, known as the stronghold of Hezbollah, resulting in 6 reported deaths and many injuries. Among those killed was senior Hamas official Salih Al Aruri, who died in a drone attack. Hamas has confirmed his death and stated that “Israel’s killing of Aruri will not end our resistance.”
This attack comes amid mutual attacks between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon since the beginning of the Gaza War, raising concerns about the conflict spreading to Lebanon. Tensions are expected to escalate further following the latest attack, and there are reports that Israel will move some of the soldiers it has withdrawn from Gaza to the Lebanese border.
Saleh El Aruri, the number two name of Hamas after Ismail Haniye, was also one of the founders of Hamas’ military wing, the Qassam Brigades. He had been living in Beirut since 2015 and was released in 2011 in exchange for Israeli soldier Gilad Shalid. The US State Department had a reward of 5 million dollars announced for the capture of Salih El Aruri.
The attack has raised concerns about the potential for further escalation and violence in the region. The situation is evolving, and further updates are awaited as tensions continue to rise.
