The Israeli army targeted the intensive care unit of Şifa Hospital in Gaza last night, leading to a devastating situation. According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, the besieged intensive care unit, already coping with a lack of fuel supply, was hit in the attack.

The situation was equally dire in the neonatal department, where more than 30 babies were removed from their incubators and transferred to a safer location by hospital staff and volunteer civilians. The hospital corridors were chaos, filled with injured patients and civilians seeking shelter from the bombings. A Palestinian doctor emphasized the unsuitability of the area where the babies were being moved, particularly for premature infants, and confirmed that three babies had tragically died due to the conditions they were exposed to.
This latest attack on Şifa Hospital has only intensified the suffering of the people of Gaza, adding to the already overwhelming humanitarian crisis.
