“Istanbul Evenings: A Lens Perspective” exhibition debuts in Paris

Paris Yunus Emre Institute (YEE) Hosts Exhibition Featuring Istanbul Through the Eyes of Lenses
Paris YEE Director Celine Aydın, along with artists Pelin Başar and Mustafa Caner Sezgin, as well as Özgür International Relations and Politics, recently attended an event hosted by Paris Yunus Emre Institute (YEE) to introduce an exhibition about Istanbul. The event drew in hundreds of students, including those from the Science Institute (ILERI).
Titled “Istanbul Evening Through the Eyes of Lenses”, the exhibition features 50 photographs taken by international photography award winners, Mehmet Aslan and Murat Bakmaz. The exhibition, which will be open to visitors until January 15, 2024, showcases stunning shots of Istanbul, a city that has been home to various civilizations throughout history.
In addition to the photography display, artists Başar and Sezgin treated guests to a music recital featuring the lute and guitar, adding an extra layer of artistic expression to the event.
The exhibition provides a unique opportunity for attendees to experience the beauty and historical significance of Istanbul through the lens of talented photographers. Its presence at the Paris Yunus Emre Institute speaks to the growing cultural ties between Turkey and France, creating a bridge for the exchange of artistic and historical perspectives.
The event was a successful showcase of the enduring appeal of Istanbul and the power of photography and music to capture its essence. Visitors can now experience the magic of Istanbul through the eyes of lenses until the exhibition’s closing date in 2024.
