North Korea Conducts Rocket Exercise Under Kim Jong Un’s Supervision
Images released by the North Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) show at least 6 rockets being fired during a recent military exercise supervised by leader Kim Jong Un. The exercise, which involved the use of nuclear-capable multiple rocket launchers, aimed to enhance the combat capability of the country’s artillery units.
Kim Jong Un asserted that North Korea possesses the military strength to “destroy Seoul” in the event of a war on the Korean Peninsula. He also issued a warning, stating that any conflict would have disastrous consequences for North Korea’s enemies.
However, the South Korean General Staff has reported that North Korea conducted more launches than what was depicted in the released photos. The provocative displays of military power by North Korea continue to escalate tensions in the region.
