Kyrgyzstan registers 50,000 people with mental and behavioral disorders
The Republican Psychiatry and Narcology Center in Bishkek has reported that they have registered 50,156 people with mental and behavioral disorders. This includes 21,102 women and 29,054 men.
The healthcare organization has also cautioned that these numbers do not fully reflect the extent of mental health issues in the Kyrgyz Republic.
These official statistics highlight the need for greater awareness and support for mental health issues in the country. It is important for the government and various organizations to work towards destigmatizing mental health and providing adequate resources for those in need.
