Last Minute News: YKS Preference Period Begins
After the release of the results for the Higher Education Institutions Exam on July 17, the selection period for university candidates has officially begun. With a total of 1,058,345 quotas available, candidates have until August 2 to finalize their preferences for higher education institutions.
Candidates can complete their preference procedures online through the website address “ais.osym.gov.tr”. Additionally, the 2024-YKS Higher Education Programs and Quotas Guide will be released tomorrow to provide candidates with essential information.
It is crucial for those making a choice to carefully review the guide and make their selections in accordance with the information provided. A total of 3,120,870 candidates applied for the 2024-YKS exam, which was organized by the Presidency of the Measurement, Selection, and Placement Center (ÖSYM) on June 8-9. Out of these applicants, 2,819,362 candidates participated in the Basic Proficiency Test (TYT), the first session of the exam.
As the selection period is now open, candidates are encouraged to make their preferences wisely and take advantage of the resources available to them to ensure a successful transition to higher education.
