Leaders visit Turkestan Industrial Park Orient

The Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan and the President of Kazakhstan recently paid a visit to the SPK Turkistan Industrial Park in Kazakhstan. During their visit on April 22, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had the opportunity to tour the industrial exhibition taking place at the park.

According to reports from Akorda, the two leaders were able to view products from various Kazakhstani manufacturers involved in industries such as space, mechanical engineering, metallurgy, construction, light, food, and chemicals. The exhibition showcased a wide range of products including cars, agricultural machinery, medical equipment, textiles, and more.

The main objective behind the establishment of the SPK Turkistan Industrial Park is to create high-tech industries that are capable of substituting imports and focusing on exports. Additionally, the park aims to support and foster small and medium-sized businesses in the industrial sector of the Turkestan region, while also promoting Kazakhstan’s non-resource exports through domestic and foreign investments.

Currently, the park is home to 6 investment projects, which include the production of irrigation systems, agricultural tractors, furniture, and industrial refrigerators. The next phase of development for the park will involve the construction of 112 new facilities on a 70-hectare area, along with the launch of 13 additional projects.

The SPK Turkistan Industrial Park represents a significant step towards enhancing Kazakhstan’s industrial sector and boosting economic growth in the region. With the support of both domestic and foreign investments, the park is set to play a key role in the country’s industrial development.
