Lefke Municipality’s Cittaslow Theatre: To Say Yes or No?
Lefke Municipality to Stage “Yes or No?” Theatre Play in March
Lefke Municipality is gearing up to present a thought-provoking theatre play titled “Yes or No?” to audiences in four districts during the month of March. Adapted by Gündoğdu Gencer from Bertolt Brecht’s work, the play is set to raise important questions and spark discussion among viewers.
Directed by Gündoğdu Gencer and Yusuf Nidai, the play will premiere at Güzelyurt Atatürk Cultural Center on Friday, March 15, at 20.30. It will then be staged at Nicosia Arabahmet Culture and Art Center (ARKHE) on Sunday, March 17, Kyrenia Municipality Chamber Theatre on Friday, March 22, and finally at Lefke Atatürk Cultural Center on Saturday, March 23, all at 20.30.
In a statement released by Lefke Municipality, the significance of the play and its underlying message were highlighted. The play aims to explore the consequences of the choices we make in life, particularly whether we choose to say yes or no to certain circumstances. It questions whether individuals uphold a system of chaos and selfishness, or strive to create a more humane world.
Audiences are encouraged to attend the performances and engage in the dialogue that the play provokes. “Yes or No?” promises to challenge perceptions and shed light on the societal issues that shape our existence.
