Major drug production chemical cache found in Bishkek

Chemical Cache for Mephedrone Production Discovered in Bishkek

In a recent development, a stash of chemicals used in the production of mephedrone was found in a garage cooperative in Bishkek. The State Committee for National Security’s press center revealed that over 300 kilograms of powdered chemicals and approximately 360 liters of liquid chemicals were confiscated. Among the substances seized, one of them is the synthetic drug alpha-pyrrolidinopentiophenone (alpha-PVP), while the rest are components for mephedrone production.

Preliminary assessments suggest that the seized chemicals could yield more than 10 kilograms of mephedrone, equivalent to over 10,000 doses. If these drugs were to be sold, their value would be around $500,000.

Efforts are underway to identify individuals connected to the unlawful possession of such narcotic substances. The authorities are taking necessary actions to curb the illegal drug trade and ensure the safety and well-being of the citizens.
