Mary Velayat Museum Orient to Implement QR Code System
The Mary Velayat Historical and Local Lore Museum is embracing modern technology by introducing a QR code system for visitors to explore the region’s history. This initiative, reported by the newspaper “Neutral Turkmenistan,” aims to enhance the museum experience through digital innovation.
In preparation for this new system, the museum has conducted a thorough inventory of its exhibits, meticulously documenting each item. The next step involves developing a virtual tour concept that will optimize the visitor’s route and highlight key points of interest within the exhibition.
A database is currently being created to store historical information, photographs, and video materials that will be accessible through the QR codes. This technology has already proven successful in other museums across Turkmenistan, including the State Museum of the State Cultural Center, the National Museum “Ak bugdaý,” and museums in the city of Arkadag.
By scanning the QR codes, visitors can access detailed information about the exhibits, enriching their museum visit with interactive and engaging content. This modernization effort at the Mary Velayat Museum reflects a growing trend in leveraging technology to make cultural institutions more accessible and immersive for visitors.
