Minister Kacır Launches Employment Protection Program in Collaboration with KOSGEB
Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır recently visited Sakarya to participate in various programs aimed at boosting the Turkish industry. During his visit, Minister Kacır visited a factory in the Adapazarı district and met with Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yusuf Alemdar. He also attended the 21st General Assembly of the Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (MÜSİAD) Sakarya, where he made important statements regarding the future of the Turkish industry.
During his address, Minister Kacır emphasized the importance of building a strong Turkish industry based on value-added production, green, and digital transformation. He highlighted the new incentive mechanisms being introduced to support the sustainability and competitiveness of the industry, including projects like the ‘Turkey Green Industry Project’ and ‘Turkey Organized Industrial Zones Project’.
Minister Kacır also announced plans to establish new model factories to facilitate the transformation of the workforce through lean production and digital technologies. He mentioned that the government is committed to providing financing support for digital transformation projects, particularly for SMEs.
In addition, Minister Kacır emphasized the government’s efforts to attract investments in strategic areas like electric vehicles, solar cells, and wind turbines. The aim is to strengthen the Turkish industry and ensure its competitiveness in the global market.
Regarding Organized Industrial Zones (OIZs), Minister Kacır highlighted initiatives to streamline allocation processes and prevent unauthorized transactions. He mentioned the importance of protecting industrialists and ensuring that legal processes are completed promptly.
Minister Kacır also outlined measures to support SMEs, including programs like the Global Competitiveness Support Program and Capacity Development Support Program. These initiatives aim to boost SMEs’ effectiveness in global markets and accelerate capacity expansion investments.
Moreover, Minister Kacır announced the launch of an ‘Employment Protection Program’ in collaboration with KOSGEB to safeguard production and employment in key sectors like apparel, textile, leather, and furniture.
Overall, Minister Kacır’s visit to Sakarya underscored the government’s commitment to fostering a strong and competitive Turkish industry.
