New Mobile App to Offer Real-Time Updates on Methane Stations

Uzbekistan to Launch Mobile App Showing Status of Methane Stations and Traffic Congestion

Uzbekistan is set to introduce a new mobile application that will provide real-time information on the status of methane refueling stations operated by “Hududgazta’minot” across the country. Hasan Toshkhojaev, the press secretary for the Ministry of Energy, revealed that the app, which will include all 1,329 gas stations, is expected to be available to drivers by this winter.

During a recent press conference, Toshkhojaev highlighted the necessity for such an app, especially during the winter months when there is high demand for methane fuel. The app will not only indicate which stations are open but also provide information on traffic congestion at these locations, thanks to a collaboration with Yandex.

He further explained that the app, developed by “Hududgazta’minot,” will be integrated into the Yandex Go taxi application, allowing users to easily locate operational refueling stations in their vicinity. Toshkhojaev emphasized that this initiative aims to enhance convenience for consumers by offering real-time updates on fuel availability and waiting times.

With the app set to launch in the fall-winter season, drivers in Uzbekistan can look forward to a more seamless experience when refueling at methane stations. Additionally, the app will also provide information on electricity and natural gas consumption, further improving the overall consumer experience.

As the country prepares for the upcoming winter season, the introduction of this mobile app is expected to alleviate long queues and provide essential information to drivers. Stay tuned for more updates on the official launch of the app and its features.
