Nigerian Army’s Air Operation Kills Over 100 Boko Haram Members

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has carried out air operations against Boko Haram in the “Hadin Kai” operation in Borno state, as reported by Punch newspaper. NAF Spokesperson Edward Gabkwet stated that more than 100 terrorists, including the wanted Boko Haram leader Abu Assad, were killed during the operations.

The spokesperson also noted that the camps where the terrorists took shelter were destroyed and important ammunition belonging to the organization was seized. Boko Haram has been a significant threat in Nigeria since the early 2000s, and since 2009, the organization has been responsible for mass acts of violence that have claimed thousands of lives.

In addition to its presence in Nigeria, Boko Haram has also carried out attacks in the neighboring countries of Cameroon, Chad, and Niger since 2015. The efforts of the NAF in targeting and neutralizing the terrorist organization are crucial in bringing peace and stability to the region.
