Passenger on Plane Stung by Scorpion – Breaking News Update

Air India Passenger Stung by Scorpion During Flight

On April 23, Air India released a statement regarding an incident that occurred on a Nagpur-Mumbai flight. The statement revealed that a female passenger was stung by a scorpion while on the plane. The incident is said to be a rare and sad event.

After landing at Mumbai’s airport, doctors attended to the passenger, who was later discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment. Air India confirmed that the necessary protocols were followed in response to the incident, and the scorpion was found after the plane was disinfected.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time that Air India has had issues with pests on its flights. In 2019, a passenger on a Bhopal-Mumbai flight found cockroaches in their food. In 2018, a passenger travelling with their children in the business class section of a New York-Mumbai flight was bitten by bedbugs. The passenger shared a photo of their swollen arm on social media, and Air India issued an apology for the incident.

Air India has yet to comment on any measures taken to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.
