Pedro Pascal’s character in “The Mandalorian” reveals surprising hidden talent
Actor Pedro Pascal, who plays the lead character in the popular Star Wars series “The Mandalorian,” has revealed that he did not wear the armored suit for his role. In fact, he was not even present on set during the production and instead relied on professional stuntmen for the scenes. Pascal only provided the voice for his character, Din Djarin, after the filming was completed. Fans had been curious about how often Pascal actually wore the costume, as his face was only shown on three occasions in the show. It has been confirmed that the character Din Djarin was a team effort, with stunt actors Brendan Wayne and Lateef Crowder playing a large role in the action scenes. Pascal’s absence from the set also allowed him to work on other projects, including HBO’s post-apocalyptic drama series “The Last of Us.”
In an interview with Variety magazine’s “Actors on Actors,” Pascal also revealed an interesting anecdote about his time on the hit show “Game of Thrones.” Fans of the show would request to pose with their fingers in his eyes while taking selfies, referencing a gruesome scene in which his character, Oberyn Martell, had his eyes gouged out. Pascal initially tolerated the requests but later developed an eye infection. Despite this, he acknowledged the success of the character and the show, which aired for eight seasons between 2011 and 2019.
