Nicosia Municipal Theater’s (LBT) New Play “Tartüf 24” Premieres
The Nicosia Municipal Theater recently premiered a new play “Tartüf 24” to the delight of art enthusiasts. The play, written by Moliere in the 17th century and fictionalized by Nazım Hikmet, was brought to life with Yaşar Ersoy’s interpretation and a talented cast.
LBT President Mehmet Harmancı expressed the importance of the play’s messages about freedom of belief for individuals and society. He emphasized that, despite the persistence of such mentalities, people should not be easily swayed by them.
During the premiere, LTB President Mehmet Harmancı and LBT Art Director Cem Aykut also addressed the audience. Art Director Cem Aykut highlighted LBT’s socialist and realistic approach to art, emphasizing their commitment to upholding the universal principles of theater art.
