Qatar Sends 18 Tons of Aid to Gaza Strip

Qatar Sends Humanitarian Aid to Gaza Strip as Conflict with Israel Continues

According to the latest report from Qatar news agency QNA, a plane belonging to the Qatar Armed Forces has been sent off to Al-Arish, Egypt, carrying humanitarian aid for the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. The aid, totaling 18 tons and including food and shelter materials, will be delivered to Gaza via Egypt.

This delivery marks a total of 1897 tons of aid that Qatar has sent to Gaza with 61 planes, in response to Israel’s attacks on the region since October 7. The conflict began when Hamas’s armed wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, launched a comprehensive attack on Israel, citing continuous violations against Palestinians and sacred values, particularly the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Israel has reported 1,200 deaths and 5,132 injuries from the attacks on October 7, while over 23,000 Palestinians, including thousands of children and women, have been killed in Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip. The Israeli army has also suffered losses, with 520 soldiers killed, including 186 during a land invasion process.

During a “humanitarian break” in the conflict, 81 Israeli and 240 Palestinian prisoners were mutually released, but thousands of Palestinians continue to be detained and imprisoned by Israel. Additionally, in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, 343 Palestinians have lost their lives in attacks by Israeli forces and illegal Jewish settlers since October 7.

The conflict has also extended beyond Gaza and Israel, with ongoing clashes between the Israeli army and Hezbollah on the border resulting in the deaths of 28 Lebanese civilians, 159 Hezbollah members, 5 Israeli civilians, and 9 Israeli soldiers.

As the situation in Gaza and the surrounding region remains volatile, the international community continues to monitor the developments and work toward finding a resolution to the ongoing conflict.
