
Screening of Nesrin Şen Documentary: Women Adding Value to Life

KÖDER to screen documentary on Nesrin Şen, “The Mother Earth of Yeşilırmak”
The Cyprus Women’s Stories Association (KÖDER) has announced that they will be screening a documentary on Nesrin Şen, known as “The Mother Earth of Yeşilırmak”, as part of their “Women Adding Value to Life” documentary series.
In a statement released by KÖDER, it was revealed that the documentary on Nesrin Şen, titled “Nesrin Şerifali Şen”, is the first in a series of documentaries initiated in collaboration with the Cyprus Turkish Cooperative Central Bank (Koopbank). The premiere of the documentary will take place at the Koopbank Headquarters Conference Hall on Thursday at 19:15.
The statement highlighted that the documentary aims to convey the life story of Nesrin Şerifali Şen, a remarkable woman who recently passed away. Nesrin Şen spent 45 years working with soil and was one of the first strawberry producers in the Dillirga region. She dedicated herself to providing healthy products to the entire country and continued to diversify her production until her last breath. The documentary includes interviews with Nesrin Şen herself, as well as her family, relatives, villagers, and colleagues, offering a comprehensive portrayal of her life.
Additionally, the statement mentioned that Nesrin Şen was a founding member of the 4 K KOOPs in Yeşilırmak and had received the Cultural Production Female Entrepreneur Award from the Business Women’s Association.
KÖDER hopes that through the screening of this documentary, Nesrin Şen’s inspiring life story will be preserved and shared with present and future generations. The event is sponsored by Koopbank, further emphasizing the importance of supporting and recognizing women’s contributions to society.
