Stabbing Incident Resolved in Bishkek: Suspect in Custody
Law enforcement authorities in Bishkek have recently apprehended a 30-year-old man suspected of causing serious harm to another individual. The Department of Internal Affairs of the Leninsky district in Bishkek made this announcement.
The incident unfolded when a man approached the police on February 18, 2024, alleging that an unidentified individual had assaulted him at the intersection of Molodaya Gvardiya Boulevard and Kievskaya Street. The altercation resulted in the unknown individual inflicting harm on the victim with a sharp object before fleeing the scene.
Following the victim’s report, the authorities initiated an investigation under the article “Causing serious harm to health” of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Subsequently, on April 27, the suspect was apprehended by the police. The district court has decided to detain the suspect in a pre-trial detention center until May 24 as a measure of restraint.
