“The May 14 Election: Why Europe and the Middle East are More Worried than Us”
AK Party Deputy Chairman Binali Yıldırım attended a rally in Şırnak, organized by the provincial presidency of his party, called “Keep on the Road with the Right Steps for the Century of Turkey”. During his speech at the rally, Yıldırım emphasized that terrorism is not the destiny of the country and that the region has a bright future if there is no war, terror, tears and blood. Yıldırım also spoke about how terror is the only responsible for the backwardness of the region, and the western imperialist powers are behind it. He encouraged the people to vote in the upcoming election and said that the election on May 14 concerns other countries more than Turkey. Yıldırım also shared some positive news, mentioning that oil has been found in Cudi and Gabar, and the amount of oil in Şırnak’s Cudi-Gabar is ten times the amount of oil in Turkey. The cost of the great disaster in 11 provinces is 100 billion dollars, but the amount of oil discovered is expected to generate lucrative business opportunities for the region.
