The aim of the meeting was to facilitate the exchange of experiences and discussions on global challenges related to sustainable development.

Turkmenistan was well represented at the event by three active students. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University, shared his experience in sustainable agriculture and eco-friendly food production.

During the three-day event, participants engaged in conferences, field group discussions, environmental campaigns, and cultural events centered around the theme “Challenges and Pathways to a Sustainable Future.” The Turkmen delegation made valuable contributions to the dialogue on sustainable development, sharing insights on sustainable initiatives and experiences in various fields.

A highlight of the event was a visit to the exhibition honoring Katalin Karikó, a University of Szeged graduate who received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2023 for her groundbreaking mRNA vaccine research. The exhibition served as an inspirational example of how scientific achievements can make a significant impact on the world.

The meeting concluded with the signing of the International Youth Declaration on Sustainable Development, symbolizing the collective commitment of students worldwide to creating a sustainable future. The participation of Turkmen students underscored the country’s active engagement in global sustainability efforts and highlighted the crucial role of youth in building a more environmentally sustainable world.
