Turkmenistan’s MFA discusses cooperation with Georgia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held talks today with David Matikashvili, the Chairman of the Friendship Group of the Parliament of Georgia with the Parliament of Turkmenistan, who was on a working visit to Ashgabat. The Intergovernmental Turkmen-Georgian Commission for Economic Cooperation and political consultations between foreign policy agencies were also praised as existing interaction mechanisms for the further development of bilateral cooperation. The Cooperation Program for 2023-2024, signed last year, was also highlighted as the basis for effective interaction between the foreign ministries of both countries. Finally, it was mentioned that Turkmenistan and Georgia are actively cooperating within the framework of international organizations, specifically the UN.
