Minister of Defense Lloyd Austin Hospitalized for Prostate Cancer Treatment
In a recent announcement, the Ministry of Defense (Pentagon) revealed that Minister Lloyd Austin has been undergoing treatment for prostate cancer. According to the statement, Austin has been in the hospital since January 1, receiving treatment for the diagnosis.
The Ministry of Defense confirmed that the treatment process has been successfully completed, stating, “After consultation with medical personnel, Minister Austin was discharged from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center today.” However, it was also noted that Austin will not immediately return to his duties at the Pentagon and will instead “work from home for a while.”
The announcement of Minister Austin’s hospitalization has sparked controversy in the United States, particularly due to the delayed disclosure of information surrounding his condition. It was revealed that senior officials, including President Joe Biden, were only informed days after Austin’s hospitalization.
