Ümraniye Killer Confesses to Murdering Three People
A tragic incident occurred in Ümraniye Fatih Sultan Mehmet District in the morning hours, resulting in the loss of three lives. Suat Güney is suspected of shooting his daughters Mine Güney and Zeliha Güney, followed by his religiously married wife Yasemin Ünlü in their apartment on the site.
Upon receiving reports of the incident, police and medical teams rushed to the scene. Tragically, all three individuals were pronounced dead by medical teams.
After thorough investigation by crime scene teams, the bodies were taken to the morgue of the Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institute. It was revealed that Suat Güney allegedly killed his daughter and then his wife, who was living with their other daughter.
Residents of the site expressed shock and horror over the incident. One resident stated, “Even the squeak of a door could not be heard in this site. This is the first time I have seen such an incident in the 14 years I have been living here. We were very horrified and saddened.”
Shortly after the incident, the suspect Suat Güney attempted to flee, but was apprehended by the police following a thorough investigation. The suspect allegedly confessed to committing the crime out of anger. Legal proceedings against Suat Güney are ongoing at the Homicide Bureau.
