Uzbekistan Airways halts boarding of Umrah visa holders on Tashkent-Jeddah flights

With the start of the Hajj 2025 program, Uzbekistan Airways has implemented new regulations for passengers traveling to Saudi Arabia on their flights. Passengers must now ensure they hold a return ticket to Tashkent and leave the country by April 30, as per a recent announcement by the airline’s press service.

Effective April 14, Uzbekistan Airways has also temporarily halted the boarding of passengers with Umrah visas on flights operating on the Tashkent-Jeddah-Tashkent route. This decision aligns with guidelines set forth by the General Authority of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia.

Passengers flying to Saudi Arabia on Uzbekistan Airways flights are reminded to comply with the requirement of having a return ticket to Tashkent and departing Saudi territory by the specified date. Failure to do so may result in fines for both the passenger and their travel agent.

Furthermore, in adherence to the directive from the Saudi Arabian aviation authority, all Uzbekistan Airways flights on the Tashkent-Jeddah-Tashkent route will be completely suspended from April 30, 2025. It is important for affected passengers to make alternative travel arrangements to avoid any disruption to their plans.
