Uzbekistan’s Military Joins International Exercises in Kazakhstan

Military contingents from five countries are coming together to participate in joint exercises aimed at localizing armed conflicts. From July 8 to 17, military personnel from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan will gather in the Mangistau region for the “Birlik-2024” international exercises.

These maneuvers will involve about 4,000 military personnel and up to 700 units of weapons and military equipment. The exercises will include training and combat tasks at the “Oymasha” training ground and in a sea area near Tokmak Cape.

During the exercises, tactical episodes will be acted out with the participation of various military units, including ground and air reconnaissance groups, naval special forces, army and frontline aviation crews, artillery crews, and assault and tank units. In addition to the military activities, cultural, recreational, and sports events will also take place.

Competitions in military-applied sports, tactical orientation “Bagdar,” and army tactical shooting will be held as part of the exercise. The joint operation aims to enhance cooperation and readiness among the military contingents from the five participating countries.
